Full Job Description
The Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products that deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets.

We are looking for an Industrial Engineer Supervisor to join our team. This position will be based in Spartanburg, SC.

As our Industrial Engineer Supervisor, you'll lead the team to optimize manufacturing processes by blending Industrial Engineering rigor with Lean principles. You'll identify and eliminate waste, improve flow, and coach teams on problem-solving. Your role is key to driving both efficiency and cultural change.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage team workload, project assignments, and resources
  • Coach and develop Lean/IE engineers.
  • Coach structured problem-solving using Go & See, PDCA, and the appropriate method.
  • Supervise improvement projects and validate operational and financial results.
  • Align Lean/IE priorities with plant goals and operational needs.
  • Lead production-system design, including flow, capacity, staffing, and scheduling.
  • Provide technical oversight for IE studies, layouts, line balancing, and standards.
  • Support Operations in implementing and sustaining SFM and daily management.

You'll make an impact by:
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes, sequence of operation, layouts, and work methods using IE tools (e.g., time studies, line balancing) and Lean principles (e.g., VSM, 6S, Kanban, Standardized Work).
  • Waste Elimination: Identify and remove waste (Muda) to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Problem Solving: Lead structured problem-solving (e.g., A3 thinking) to address root causes and implement lasting improvements.
  • Project Leadership: Manage improvement projects from start to finish, ensuring successful implementation and measurable results.
  • Data Analysis: Use data to identify opportunities, measure performance, and recommend process enhancements.
  • Safety Integration: Embed safety and ergonomic considerations into all process designs and improvements.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (specific engineering degree discipline can be flexible if relevant experience is present).
  • Minimum 5 years in manufacturing experience, applying both Industrial Engineering and Lean principles.
  • Working knowledge of the following lean principles and tool:
  • Cycle Time (MTM) studies, Line Balancing, Standardized Work, 6S, Material flow, Capacity studies, and problem-solving skills (5-Why, A3, 8D, RCA)
  • Ability to understand manufacturing processes and drive process improvements.
  • Strong presentation, workshop facilitation, and communication skills to present Lean initiatives and project results.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or a related engineering field).
  • 7+ years in manufacturing experience, applying both Industrial Engineering and Lean principles.
  • Working knowledge with the following lean tools: value stream mapping, Process Mapping, Shopfloor/Visual Management, Cell layout, Changeover, Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
  • Experience with modeling and simulation software / model-based systems concepts.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring cross-functional teams.

The pay range for this position is $74,970 - $128,520 annually with a target incentive of 5 of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
