Standard Job DescriptionWhat We're DoingWe are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Associate Manager to lead our Avionics Product Center Industrial Engineering and Backshop Labor Estimating teams. The goal of this role is to improve efficiencies in the center by analyzing product build sequences and workflows, and establishing methods and targets for maximum utilization of the center layout and personnel.
The Work• Manages the analysis and designing of sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and the establishment of methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
• Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
• May oversee establishment or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.
• Oversees Industrial Engineers conducting studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
• On the basis of these studies, monitors the development and implementation plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
• May assist overseeing facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.
• Managing and contributing to the Avionics Product Center Industrial Engineering Team, supporting analysis of product build sequence and workflow to improve efficiencies
• Assuming managerial responsibility over Backshop Labor Estimating, including developing and implementing estimating processes and procedures
• Personally learning the backshop estimating statement of work and developing backup estimators within the group
• Establishing methods and targets for maximum utilization of the center layout and personnel
• Coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection, and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions

• Supervising Industrial Engineers conducting studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems

Who You AreTo be successful in this role, you should have:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
8 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or a related field, with a focus on process improvement and labor estimating
Proven leadership and management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop team members
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline or equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
- 7 years of professional career experience within a manufacturing/production environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma priciples
Desired Skills- Experience working effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Engineering or Engineering Management Masters degree
- Demonstrated Leadership Experience
- Experience with electrical components and equipment manufacturing
- Data Analytics skills
- Ability to manage a small engineering team
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
