Responsibilities

  • Measure, analyze and improve production processes related to product flow
  • Develop and revise equipment and process layouts
  • Implement and monitor labor standards for equipment and processes
  • Establish line balance standards using MOST and time study methods
  • Create timing plans for new product/project implementation
  • Document processes using flow diagrams, PFMEAs, and value stream maps
  • Validate and verify new processes to ensure capability to requirements
  • Manage projects and support cost-saving and process improvement initiatives

Full Job Description
Job Responsibilities:

QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:

- Immediate open position

- Industrial Technologist: $70,000 - $90,000

- Industrial Engineer: $85,000 - $110,000

- Graduate of a recognized Engineering program or related technical program at College/University level

- Preference given to those with 3-5 year's of related experience in an industrial environment

- Experience in time and motion direct labour measurement

- Experience with product and process flow development

- Experience in PFMEA development.

- Plant layout experience required

- Value Stream Mapping experience preferred

- Must have excellent teambuilding and leadership skills

- Proven understanding of lean manufacturing concepts, mechanical equipment and processes

- Excellent organization, problem solving and decision making skills

- Must have proven negotiating skills combined with the ability to handle stressful situations professionally

- Must be self-motivated and able to carry projects through to completion

- Excellent communication and presentation skills (English - spoken and written)

- Proficient use of MS Office applications, AutoCAD

MAIN DUTIES:

- Measure, Analyse and Improve production processes specifically related to product flow
