Full Job Description
Location: Remote with Preference of Dallas, Columbus and Chicago - This position may be performed remotely in states where the company is authorized to employ individuals.

Compensation: The expected starting base pay range for this position is $105k- $130k, with full potential base salary range over a successful candidate's tenure in the position of $105k- $157k. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.

Employment Logistics:

The Industrial Engineer Senior Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting automation solutions across sortation, distribution, and logistics operations. This role will partner closely with internal stakeholders to improve throughput, reliability, cost efficiency, and safety across automated systems.

Your Mission in Motion:

A summary of key responsibilities for the role is outlined below. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support business objectives.
  • Automation solution design & deployment: Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions for sortation systems, conveyors, scanners, and related equipment, while supporting system commissioning, testing, and validation to ensure projects meet design specifications, timelines, and budget requirements.
  • Technical support, root cause analysis & corrective action: Provide technical support for automation-related issues across hub and terminal operations, leading root cause analysis for system failures, downtime events, and performance gaps, and developing/implementing corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Performance optimization & innovation: Identify and execute process optimization opportunities, drive initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance system reliability, support pilot programs and scaling of new automation technologies, and analyze system performance data to increase uptime and throughput.
  • Documentation & engineering standards: Create and maintain technical documentation including system diagrams, specifications, and SOPs, while establishing and promoting engineering and safety standards across facilities.
  • Safety compliance & risk management: Ensure all automation systems meet OSHA and company safety requirements, and participate in safety audits and risk assessments related to automated equipment.
