OverviewDelivering one COLUMBIA and two VIRGINIA class submarines each year is critical to our nation's defense, and Electric Boat needs experienced Industrial Engineers to help us achieve this mission.
The Industrial Engineering Organization provides mission-critical support to leadership and functional organizations through implementation of the Electric Boat Production System, development and management of improvement strategies, measurement of performance impacts, and establishment of processes that enable simultaneous construction of both submarine classes.
As an Industrial Engineer (IE) at our Quonset Point facility, you will work directly on the manufacturing floor with Operations Management (Managers, Superintendents, and Supervisors), and Production Control Planners. You will help establish stable, repeatable production processes, resolve daily manufacturing constraints, and implement improvements that enhance safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance. This role is hands-on and highly collaborative, with shared ownership of manufacturing performance alongside operations leadership.
