Full Job Description
Industrial Engineer III positions offered by Jabil INC. (Florence, Kentucky). Lead and implement projects that will eliminate waste, through the standard Industrial Engineering process including but not limited to: Complex Process Simulation, Operations Research and Business Model Cost Analysis. Verify Time standards prepared within IE Team. Update and report key Industrial Engineering metrics for assigned customer or area. Drive key process mapping activities within the assigned customer or area. Drive the standardization SAP and Manufacturing Execution System configurations. Prepare quotes for proposed projects within the assigned customer or area. Drive process related activities for New Product Introduction. Coach, mentor, and train engineers within the Industrial Engineering team. Support and/or maintain all lower-level Industrial Engineering essential duties and responsibilities. Ensure the standardization of Jabil processes throughout the site in accordance with the global, regional and site direction. Support the Lean organization by developing a solid process foundation and data integrity in order to support process improvement through the organization. Minimum Requirements: • Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 4 years of experience working with Complex Process Simulation, Operations Research and Business Model Cost Analysis. • Must have 4 years of experience in each of the following: • Working with six sigma tools, including problem solving, root cause analysis, CPK, and SPC; • Working with lean tools, line balancing, waste reduction, and process and material flow improvements; • Working with PFMEA and developing mistake proofing tools for RPN reduction; • Working with New Product Introduction (NPI) for DFA, DFM and product manufacturing; and • Performing layout set-up, Equipment qualification, Assembly line qualification for NPI setup. • In lieu of a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master's or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 3 years of experience as stated, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and demonstrated proficiency in the skillset above. • Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
