Full Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an Industrial Engineer at a large automotive customer. The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for working closely with the manufacturing team to optimize our production processes, ensure product quality, and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will have experience within the automotive industry, experience with industrial engineering, and a passion for driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and can adapt quickly to changing conditions.

Job Responsibilities:
- Study and validate material routes to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Review time savings for automation projects and ensure alignment with project goals
- Work closely with the planning team to integrate material optimization strategies into overall production plans
- Collaborate with plant Industrial Engineering teams to gather insights and ensure effective implementation of optimization initiatives
- Support execution teams by providing industrial engineering expertise and addressing challenges during project implementation
- Contribute to the overall strategy for material optimization across all plants
- Knowledge/experience with GM's Standard Time Database
- Knowledge/experience with Standardized Work and APS (GM's Job Instruction Database)
- Knowledge/experience with APS Ergonomic Assessment Tool

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of experience working within industrial engineering in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with performing plant floor layouts through AutoCAD
- Strong experience conducting time and motion studies/time studies + STDS
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and material flow principles
- Experience line balancing on a general assembly line
