We are looking for an
Industrial Engineer I to work onsite at our Colorado Springs facility. You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing production systems and processes to improve efficiency, reduce cost, enhance quality, and ensure safe operations. This role applies engineering principles, data analysis, and lean methodologies to support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
What You Will Do- Define and develop processes, including equipment, fixture design, routings, programming, tooling, and standard work support our production lines and meet all applicable drawing requirements.
- Understand manufacturing processes using time studies, workflow analysis, and data modeling.
- Develop process improvements to help increase throughput, reduce waste, and enhance quality
- Plan the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient and optimized sequence of operations and work flow.
- Understand/learn Lean, CORE and Kaizen methodologies to help drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and support daily operations.
- Monitor safety, ergonomics, and compliance with applicable manufacturing standards.
- Use statistical methods to analyze performance data and identify improvement opportunities.
- Follow all Collins rules and codes of conduct.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications You Must Have- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with CAD tools, simulation software, or ergonomic analysis tools.
- Experience with SAP preferred

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
