General Profile

The Industrial Engineer II requires in-depth knowledge and practical experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing operations, and technical project execution. This role applies best practices and knowledge of internal and external business issues to improve products, processes, services, and operational performance. The position works independently with minimal guidance, solves complex problems using data-driven analysis, and acts as a resource for colleagues in operations
Position Summary

The Industrial Engineer II is responsible for improving manufacturing systems, material flow, capacity utilization, facility layout, and operational efficiency while also leading technical projects from planning through implementation. The role combines industrial engineering expertise with project/program management discipline to deliver process improvements, support new product introductions, coordinate cross-functional resources, and achieve project objectives on time and within budget. This position supports a large-scale facility restructuring program made up of multiple interdependent sub-projects, requiring precise execution and close coordination across industrial engineering, manufacturing, facilities, procurement, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform methods engineering analysis, including process design, time and motion studies, work measurement, and recommendations for manufacturing line improvements.
  • Lead industrial engineering projects and programs within assigned areas of responsibility, supporting implementation through quality tools, process controls, and operational readiness activities.
  • Prepare cost analysis, business cases, and return-on-investment calculations to support project selection, prioritization, and decision-making.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing facility layouts, material handling systems, material staging strategies, warehouse design concepts, and space optimization solutions.
  • Support facilities and facility-related projects by coordinating layout changes, infrastructure readiness, space planning, equipment and material procurement, operational requirements, and cross-functional implementation activities.
  • Calculate, maintain, and analyze capacity data for materials processing, labor, space, equipment, and production processes to support effective asset utilization.
  • Provide guidance to manufacturing and operations teams on efficient use of resources, production processes, and facility constraints.
  • Lead ergonomics and human factors evaluations, recommend improvements, and support implementation of safer and more efficient work area designs.
  • Support strategic product introductions into volume manufacturing by delivering manufacturing line design, process readiness, tooling development, and specialized fixture deployment.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, manufacturing, procurement, facilities, and cross-functional teams to develop specialized solutions that improve factory flow, material movement, and production execution.
  • Establish standards, procedures, and best practices across multiple functions to improve consistency, quality, and operational performance.
Technical Project/Program Management Responsibilities
  • Prepare project plans and coordinate attainment of project deliverables from planning through implementation.
  • Drive project execution through reports, tracking charts, checklists, action item management, and milestone reviews.
  • Align internal business unit resources and cross-functional stakeholders across manufacturing, facilities, procurement, and operations to achieve project objectives on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and report project cost performance, risks, status, dependencies, and key issues to business unit leadership and stakeholders.
  • Participate in intra-business unit design teams and contribute to technical development in support of project goals.
  • Identify project obstacles, research root causes, evaluate alternatives, and assist in implementing corrective actions and sustainable solutions.
  • Apply structured project management practices, including schedule management, risk management, stakeholder management, communication planning, and change management.
  • Build alignment across teams by balancing data, business priorities, technical requirements, and stakeholder input to reach effective conclusions.
  • Develop clear executive-level communications, including project updates, risks, decisions needed, and business impact summaries for senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
