For this U.S. based position, the total expected compensation range is $150,000 - $210,000 per year, which includes base salary pay and yearly short-term compensation incentive.

Schneider Electric has a meaningful opportunity available for an Industrial Electronics Chapter Leader for our Power Products division based in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Overview:

Schneider Electric is seeking an Industrialization Electronics Chapter Leader to lead electronics hardware and test system deployment in North American Power Products Division. You will lead a team of electronics process and test engineers in delivering innovative, reliable, and sustainable production solutions with electronic manufacturing partners. The team mission is to influence the design for manufacturability and testability of printed circuit board assemblies on new product development.

Major Responsibilities
  • Manages a cross-functional team within the specific industrialization expertise domains to achieve project KPIs (printed circuit boards, printed circuit board assembly, dispensing, soldering, automatic optical inspection, in-circuit test, PCBA functional test)
  • Lead the new product introduction process by creating detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, status reports, conducting risk analysis and monitoring the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets within the scope of electronics
  • Develops his/her team according to the competency strategy linked to technologies and innovations. People development includes technical skills, soft skills and personal development skills.
  • Drives a systematic, data driven process to evaluate the best solution for optimized CAPEX, OPEX, resources, quality targets, industrial footprint and supply chain flows
  • Ensures the successful ramp-up and transfer to the electronics manufacturing sites through definition of welcoming expectations, training and post launch support to achieve the agreed upon metrics prior to project transfer

Qualifications
  • Required - Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or related engineering discipline
    • Preferred - Master's Degree
  • Required - 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing for printed circuit boards and familiar with SMT, PTH, AOI, reflow and wave.
  • Required - 3+ years of experience in electronics design developing electronic circuitry, embedded systems and firmware
  • Required - Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards, safety certifications, and North American electrical codes.
  • Preferred - Previous direct managerial or supervisory experience of individual contributors
  • Preferred - Six Sigma, Lean Product Development, Agile and Stage Gate project development
  • Preferred - Experience with PCB failure analysis such as micro-sectioning, solderability, contamination, optical microscopy and x-ray inspection.

Technical Tools and Experience
  • Expertise in analog/digital circuit design, power electronics, PCB layout, thermal management and EMC/EMI mitigation
  • Design for Manufacturing (DFm) software such as Altair PollEx for ECAD and related disciplines
  • Design for Test (DFt) and test coverage analyzer software such as Aster Tech TestWay
  • National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand
  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, spectrum analyzers and environmental test equipment
  • Jira, Microsoft Teams or equivalent and collaboration platforms for cross-functional work
  • Electro-mechanical CAD programs (AutoCAD, Creo)
