  • Coordinate with tech teams for software execution in operations.
  • Collaborate with various operations functional areas for network initiatives.
  • Travel domestically or internationally up to 30% to fulfill responsibilities.

Full Job Description
Position: Industrial Designer III - AMZ14680.12

Location: Bellevue, WA

Multiple Positions Available:

1. Drive standardization, documentation of core design and process

elements for scalable network growth across North America Logistics

using strong process management and Lean principles

2. Plan and design systems that increase critical-to-quality (CTQ)

business needs by improving integration of people, materials,

equipment, software, and finance

3. Redesign effort for the inbound and outbound processes, evaluate the

ergonomic needs and issues for shipping clerk workstations, or

conduct a capacity planning and analysis study for peak season

4. Assess and optimize the processes and equipment used in the

Delivery Station

5. Recommend and implement changes to safety procedures, work

methods, and labor standards

6. Determine root causes of "defects" in performance through deep dive

data analysis and decomposition and process observation

7. Successfully manage, execute, measure and communicate the impact

of the projects in partnership with the site leaders responsible for day

to day operations

8. Coordinate with Tech/Software teams, driving the operational

execution of software enhancements

9. Collaborate with counterparts in other operations functional areas such

as Safety, Quality, Learning, Loss Prevention, Amazon Customer

Excellence System (ACES) Continuous Improvement, Launch,

Finance, and Volume Planning

10. Interface with other functional areas as required (Supply Chain,

Operations Integration, Transportation, Sort Centers, Fulfillment

Centers, Site Launch, Procurement, etc.) in support of network

initiatives.

11. Domestic or international travel up to 30% to perform role

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. In the

alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline followed by 7 years of progressively

responsible postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Experience must include:

1) 2 years of experience in using Six Sigma tools & Lean practices.

2) 2 years of experience performing root cause analysis using various techniques.

3) 2 years of experience in using Minitab or JMP.

4) 2 years of experience in using MS Excel & Visio

5) 2 years of experience in conducting investigations to identify process flow bottlenecks and reduce production cycle times.

6) 2 years in project management.

7) 2 years of experience in developing technical SOP documentation, standards, critical to quality specifications and metrics for process improvements

The pay range for this position in Bellevue, WA is $153858 - $178800 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
