Offered Position: Industrial Designer II

Job Location: Westborough, Massachusetts



Position Responsibilities:

Work on combining latest industry technologies/best practices combined with Amazon's performance optimization goals to design new state of the art robotic material handling systems. Evaluate and create physical processing and material handling solutions using cutting edge technology, robotics and data analytics to meet the product flow requirements based on Amazon design principles. Identify and analyze key operational and financial metrics as part of program and feature selection in order to drive smart decisions. Coordinate and collaborate with systems and operations engineering teams to develop product features and optimize the performance of the FCs. Manage and support multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively influence, negotiate, and connect and communicate with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors. Develop models as required to solve complex problems.

Position Requirements:

Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and two years of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) experience using MS Excel, MS Project, and AutoCAD; (2) experience with commercial off-the-shelf technologies including Tableau, SQL, or related; and (3) experience designing automation or robotic systems for high-volume, multi-variable manufacturing or logistics warehouse environments.

40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $126,859/year to $160,000/year.
