Position Summary

We are seeking an Industrial Engineer DE-II to support our pre-fabrication manufacturing/assembly site for MEP systems. In this role, you will contribute to process improvements, optimize manufacturing workflows, and help drive efficiency across operations. You will analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement practical solutions to improve productivity and reduce waste.

The ideal candidate has experience applying industrial engineering principles in a manufacturing or construction environment and is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of improvement initiatives while continuing to develop technical and leadership skills.

Position Details
  • Reviews project goals and contributes to identifying opportunities to improve cost, schedule, quality, and labor efficiency in modular fabrication.
  • Coordinates with internal stakeholders to support Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) initiatives and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Collaborates with design and fabrication teams to implement DfMA principles into project execution.
  • Conducts time studies and develops standard work processes to improve shop production and field installation efficiency.
  • Analyzes manufacturing workflows using lean principles; recommends and implements process improvements to reduce waste and increase productivity.
  • Partners with project managers, field superintendents, and procurement teams to ensure constructability and material readiness.
  • Supports and contributes to the development and implementation of manufacturing technologies and digital tools (e.g., BIM integration, CNC processes, material handling systems).
  • Participates in QA/QC processes to ensure prefabricated assemblies meet quality standards.
  • Assists with planning and optimizing prefabrication shop layouts and work cells for efficient production flow.
  • Tracks, analyzes, and reports operational metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Leads small to mid-sized improvement projects and supports cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (required).
  • 3-6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, prefabrication, or construction-related environments.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and production workflows; experience in MEP systems, HVAC, or piping preferred.
  • Understanding of construction project workflows and field installation considerations.
  • Proficiency in at least one or more CAD/modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, SketchUp); familiarity with BIM workflows preferred.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (Excel required; familiarity with ERP systems or production scheduling tools preferred).
  • Practical experience applying lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills; ability to work cross-functionally with operations and project teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and take ownership of assigned projects.
