JOB DESCRIPTION

Industrial Automation Engineer II - Warehouse Operations

At Axcelis, you'll play a key role in advancing operational excellence through automation and digital transformation in a high-technology manufacturing environment. You'll partner closely with warehouse operations, manufacturing engineering, and technology teams to improve efficiency, accuracy, and system integration. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of defined processes and systems while contributing to impactful improvements in material flow and inventory management. It's an ideal position for an engineer ready to expand technical depth and influence across cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do
• Support and own day-to-day warehouse and stockroom operations, including receiving, inventory control, material movement, kitting, and shipping
• Ensure alignment between physical processes and system transactions to maintain inventory accuracy and traceability
• Develop, maintain, and improve standard work instructions and process documentation
• Implement and support digital tools such as barcode systems, data capture applications, and operational dashboards
• Provide support and enhancements for warehouse applications, including troubleshooting and user guidance
• Execute and contribute to User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, issue tracking, and validation of system updates
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, support root cause analysis, and implement process improvements

What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or engineering environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across teams
• Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with ERP, MES, or warehouse management systems
• Familiarity with data tools such as Excel, SQL, or Power BI
• Experience supporting digital tools, automation, or operational applications
• Knowledge of basic process improvement or lean principles

U.S. BASE SALARY RANGE

$79,447.21 - $119,170.81

This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations.

Our salary ranges are determined by role and level; individual pay is determined based on

multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work

location, and internal equity. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as

you develop within the role.

Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the

Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regular

employees working 20+ hours a week).
