This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for an Industrial / Advanced Manufacturing Project Manager for our Austin, TX office to support our Texas/Louisiana Property and Buildings team. This leader will be involved in projects with our Property & Buildings / Industrial Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact
  • Lead and manage medium to large-scale industrial or advanced manufacturing projects from concept through completion.
  • Organize and control project elements, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop and evaluate system concepts and options to determine the best design and engineering solutions.
  • Prepare design drawings and specifications for building systems (mechanical, plumbing, fire protection).
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, structural engineers, and AutoCAD/REVIT technicians, building technology, built ecology, and lighting designers.
  • Interface with clients to review project requirements, changes, and deliverables.
  • Perform systems analysis, prepare reports, studies, and cost estimates.
  • Manage manpower budgets and update forecasts based on scope changes.
  • Support business development efforts including proposals and presentations for industrial and advanced manufacturing projects.
  • Manages local client coordination and cross-selling efforts in coordination with Regional Business Lines, National Business Lines, and Pursuit Management.
  • Represent the firm in the facility-specific industrial and advanced manufacturing markets through regular involvement in client and industry events and associations to promote intelligence gathering and pipeline development.
  • Works with the Regional Development Director and Local Business Line Leaders to attract the best industry talent by fostering a collaborative work environment, values inclusion and diversity, and invites broad, creative thinking - crafting a more attractive place to work, grow, and thrive.


Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in industrial or advanced manufacturing project management.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems design and construction processes.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and relevant design software.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification.
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing facilities and industrial systems.
  • Familiarity with sustainability standards and energy-efficient design.

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $100,700 - $164,450

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
