The RoleAs Indirect Buyer, you will support the centralized procurement function covering IT, Facilities, Travel, Consulting, and other enterprise spend categories, alongside capital equipment and MRO/tooling for engineering and production. This is a hands-on execution role responsible for driving measurable cost savings, operational efficiency, and strong supplier and contract management as the company scales. You will own sourcing and planning across your assigned categories while partnering closely with engineering, facilities, and finance to keep the business running.
Responsibilities - Indirect Procurement
- Source and manage suppliers across IT, Facilities, Travel, Consulting, capital equipment, MRO/tooling, and other indirect categories, often on expedited timelines
- Lead sourcing events (RFI/RFQ/RFP) and negotiate costs and contracts with key suppliers
- Manage end-to-end procurement process, including PO creation, invoice resolution, and supplier relationship management
- Act as the primary interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders, including onboarding, evaluation, negotiation, and project management
- Manage inventory and replenishment planning for indirect and consumable items
- Support forecasting and master planning for indirect spend across departments
- Partner with internal stakeholders to define requirements and align procurement strategy with business priorities
- Develop internal analytics/dashboards to track spend, savings, and supplier performance
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain/Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of indirect procurement experience in a fast-paced manufacturing, operations, or technology environment
- Working knowledge of strategic sourcing principles, contracting, and negotiation
- Experience reading and interpreting technical specifications and equipment documentation
- Strong understanding of inventory management
- 1+ year of experience with SQL or other information processing software tools
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, facilities, and finance
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Nice to Have - 3+ years of technical procurement experience
- Experience supporting high-growth manufacturing organizations
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP)
- Experience implementing AS9100 or completing AS9100 audits
Compensation and Benefits: - Base salary range for this role is $65,000 - $100,000 + equity in the company
