Full Job Description

The IHWA Performance Lead is responsible for proactively tracking, analyzing, and managing performance across cohorts, states, and vendor partners. This role collaborates closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to identify performance trends, surface risks and opportunities, and ensure outcomes align with program and bid objectives.

The IHWA Performance Lead designs and drives performance management strategies that support value‑based program outcomes. This role partners closely with senior leaders on implementation planning, performance optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives across cohorts, states, and vendors. The Performance Lead analyzes and communicates program results, identifies trends and risks, and provides data‑driven insights to inform decision‑making.

The role helps develop functional and segment‑specific strategies on complex and high‑impact performance matters. The Performance Lead exercises independent judgment and discretion in addressing multifaceted performance challenges, determining appropriate courses of action, and recommending corrective or enhancement strategies. This position operates with minimal supervision and requires advanced analytical thinking, effective stakeholder collaboration, and sound decision‑making across variable and dynamic conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, health administration, public policy, data analytics, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
  • 5+ years of experience in performance management, program delivery, operations, or analytics, preferably within IHWA or similar workforce/healthcare initiatives
  • Proven experience monitoring and managing performance across multiple cohorts, states, or vendors
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data, identify trends, and proactively flag risks and opportunities
  • Experience developing and tracking KPIs, scorecards, and performance dashboards against bid or contract goals
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendor performance and drive accountability through data-driven insights
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present performance findings to leadership and external partners
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to recommend and implement corrective action plans
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency in data and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms)
  • SQL Server Experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced experience with performance visualization, automation, or predictive analytics
  • Background in continuous improvement, process optimization, or operational excellence
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, compliance, and vendors
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills

Remote-Work-At-Home Requirements

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.

  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Employees must work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Work at Home Requirements To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information. Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$115,200 - $158,400 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
