Civil Engineering Senior Project Manager - Utilities & Public Works

We are experiencing sustained growth and are seeking a self-directed Civil Infrastructure Senior Project Manager with a strong background in public-sector projects. Working out of our Austin office (with no required travel outside Central Texas), you will lead project teams and collaborate across disciplines to shape vital infrastructure across Central Texas.

What You Will Do:
  • Project Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary project teams from proposal through construction, ensuring design quality, schedule adherence, and budget alignment.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for public-sector clients, building lasting relationships through clear communication and reliable delivery.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide senior-level review of utilities and public works design, including water, wastewater, storm water, and transportation infrastructure.
  • Team Development: Mentor project engineers and support staff to build technical skills and project management capability.

Key Projects You'll Impact:

We focus on core utilities and public works infrastructure, including water and wastewater, roadway, and trail projects. Our recent portfolio includes:
  • Water & Wastewater (Cottonwood Wastewater Interceptor, Oak Hill Parkway Water and Wastewater Design, Capex Water and Wastewater Relocations)
  • Roadway & Utility Relocations (US 183 Bergstrom Expressway Utility Relocations, FM 2222 Expansion, City of Bastrop Downtown Streetscape)
  • Trails & Transit (City of Bee Cave RR620 Trail, City of Cedar Park Brushy Creek North Fork Trail, Onion Creek Greenway Trail Phase 3)

What We Are Looking For:
  • Registration: Texas PE required, or ability to obtain Texas PE within 3 months for out-of-state licensees.
  • Experience: 14+ years of civil engineering experience, with 4+ years successfully managing infrastructure project teams.
  • Key Competencies:
    • Client-focused leader with strong relationship management skills
    • Proficient in utilities/public works project management, including Civil 3D, Bentley StormCAD/Civil Storm, HEC-HMS, and HEC-RAS
    • Collaborative leader who supports staff growth and technical excellence
    • Proficiency in project management, including contracting, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
