This role is hybrid, with four in-office days per week at our San Francisco FiDi location. The opportunityWe're hiring an Implementation Manager to own the technical onboarding experience for Hazel customers across SMB and mid-market wealth management firms.
This is an individual-contributor role for someone who can operate at the intersection of implementation, systems integration, data migration, and client enablement. You'll serve as the primary technical point of contact during onboarding, helping firms connect their systems, establish clean source-of-truth data, and get operational quickly with Hazel.
Your impact- Serve as the primary technical point of contact during firm onboarding, partnering with VP of IT or other technical stakeholders for mid-market firms and acting as the technical resource directly for SMB firms without internal IT staff.
- Own integration setup across key systems, including CRM platforms such as Wealthbox and Salesforce, custodial data providers such as Orion and Black Diamond, and file storage tools including Box, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Dropbox.
- Configure bidirectional CRM data syncs and ensure the right fields are mapped into Hazel's data layer.
- Lead data migration efforts, including pulling client data from financial planning tools such as RightCapital and eMoney, managing bulk document uploads, and reconciling multiple data sources into clean source-of-truth records.
- Orchestrate firm-wide, IT-led deployments for mid-market RIAs rather than managing advisor-by-advisor rollouts.
- Act as the deployed engineer for SMB firms by connecting systems, configuring data flows, and getting firms operational without relying on internal technical staff.
- Train advisors and operations teams on Hazel workflows, templates, assumptions settings, and day-to-day platform usage.
- Support sales by building polished live demo environments with realistic household data and production-like setups.
- Surface implementation friction points back to Product and Documentation to improve onboarding speed, quality, and repeatability over time.
What you bring- 3-6 years of experience in implementation, solutions engineering, technical account management, or a closely related role.
- Experience working at a fintech or SaaS company with integration-heavy deployments.
- Hands-on experience connecting APIs, CRMs, and data pipelines, with comfort working in integration layers without needing to be a full-stack engineer.
- Strong project management and operational rigor, especially in environments where data quality and implementation consistency matter.
- Ability to work effectively with non-technical users, including advisors and operations staff, and translate technical setup into clear, practical guidance.
- Strong judgment around data migration, system configuration, and rollout planning in customer-facing environments.
- Enough commercial instinct to identify expansion opportunities and support broader retention or renewal conversations when appropriate.
Bonus points- Familiarity with the wealth management technology stack, including Wealthbox, Salesforce, Orion, Black Diamond, RightCapital, eMoney, and custodial data formats.
- Experience supporting RIAs, advisor technology platforms, or other financial services workflows.
- Experience operating in a fast-moving environment where implementation feedback directly shapes product and process improvements.
