Position Highlights The University of Arizona, Campus Health Service (CHS) seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Nursing Manger II (Immunization and Infection Prevention Manager). This position is responsible for providing quality nursing care to Campus Health Service (CHS) patients and overseeing the Immunization and Travel Clinic, Workforce Member (WFM) Compliance Program, and Infection Prevention Program. This position provides supervision and operational leadership to support clinical services, regulatory compliance, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based nursing practices across multiple Campus Health departments.

Duties & Responsibilities Immunizationand Travel Clinic:- Dailymanagement of the Immunization & Travel Clinic operations to ensurecompliance with national, state, university, and regulatory agency regulations,including Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Care (AAAHC) accreditationstandards.
- Manages theordering, inventory, and storage of vaccines.
- Oversees staffthat maintain immunization standing orders, policies, and vaccine informationsheets.
- Keeps up to datewith the immunization and information via the Advisory Committee onImmunization Practices (ACIP), Immunize.org and other resources.
- Participates inquality improvement project.
- Collects dataand review clinical reports on performance metrics of the Immunization/TravelClinics.
- Liaison withStudy Abroad programs, or delegate to current staff.
- Liaison withMedical Records regarding immunization requirements.
- Serves on committeesassigned.
WorkforceMember (WFM) Compliance Program- Oversees workforce members in partnership with Department of Occupational Health (OH),Environmental Health & Safety (EHS).
- Serves as apoint of contact for EHS, OH, Pima County Health Department, and WFMs.
InfectionPrevention Program- Remains up todate on information related to infection prevention though the Association forProfessional in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC); Centers for DiseaseControl and Prevention (CDC); and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).Obtain or maintain APIC Infection Prevention Certification.
- Compiles AnnualInfection Prevention Summary, Risk Assessment and Focus Priority assessments.
- Leads theInfection Prevention Committee meetings and serve as Quality Improvementcommittee member.
- Reviews andupdate WFM Educational Modules.
- Manages annualTuberculosis Surveillance Program and reporting.
Cross Trainingand Clinical Operations Support- This positionwill cross train with the Clinical Nursing Supervisor to provide operationaland clinical leadership support as needed. Responsibilities may include:
- Maintainingfamiliarity with triage processes, patient flow, and daily clinical operations.
- Assisting withoversight and supervision of Medical Assistants, including providing guidanceand support to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Coordinatingand facilitating Immunization and Medical Clinic Nursing staff meetings,including agenda development, communication, and follow up on action items.
- Promoting teamengagement, participation, collaboration, and staff morale through positiveleadership and effective communication.
- Serving as aresource to nursing and support staff and assisting with operational needsduring periods of increased workload or supervisor absence.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities:- Knowledge ofAccreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC)regulation/standards of care.
- Knowledge ininfection and prevention practices.
- Knowledge ofoccupational health immunization requirements.
- Knowledge of qualityimprovement techniques and data collection.
- Knowledge ofMicrosoft Office suite applications, including Excel.
- Knowledge ofZoom and skill in scheduling and conducting virtual meetings.
- ProjectManagement skills.
- HealthInformatics skills.

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of five years of related work experience, including two years of managerial experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Licensed in the State of Arizona as a Registered Nurse.
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
Preferred Qualifications- APIC Certification in Infection Prevention.
