What You'll do:
  • Under the direction of the practice team Director, you'll work with employers, their international employees, and HSI clients to develop and implement legal strategies for a variety of immigration matters
  • Conduct in-depth conversations with clients to explain visa application processes and coordinate with clients to gather detailed supporting information and evidence
  • Answer client questions about application process steps, timelines and costs
  • Prepare and file green card related applications with the appropriate government offices, in collaboration with fellow Attorneys and Case Managers
  • Prepare responses to Requests for Evidence issued by government agencies
  • Research legal issues related to employment-based green card applications and stay informed on the latest immigration law developments
  • Correspond with other Attorneys and Case Managers within the firm to assist clients with needs that transcend practice groups
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

What Skills and Experience You'll bring:
  • 1-2+ years of experience working in the employment-based immigration field as an attorney. Experience preparing I-140 immigration petitions and I-485 AOS applications is preferable but not required
  • Familiarity with the interplay between PERM Labor Certification concepts, nonimmigrant status concepts and I-140, AOS, and Immigrant Visa concepts
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a busy caseload in an efficient manner and consistent with numerous inflexible legal deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate professionally and effectively with team members
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to break down complex legal concepts into language that is easy for clients to understand
  • Possess patience to conduct frequent, and sometimes somewhat repetitive, educational correspondence and/or calls with clients summarizing their application processes and answering their questions
  • High level of attention to detail, emotional intelligence, and empathy
  • Ability to deliver highly responsive and proactive client service

What We'll Provide to You:
  • An opportunity to do challenging and highly rewarding work at a fast-growing firm with an inspiring mission
  • An opportunity to join intelligent, creative, and dedicated immigration professionals who value respectful, collaborative working relationships
  • Inclusive firm culture celebrating diverse perspectives, backgrounds, identities, and experiences
  • People-centered workplace policies and flexible work schedules, including casual attire and remote work opportunities
  • Competitive compensation, health/dental/vision/life insurance benefits, a 401(k)-retirement savings plan with employer-matching, and a generous paid-time-off policy
