Imaging PACS Administrator to support the systems that manage, store, distribute, and maintain medical imaging throughout our organization. This role works at the intersection of
healthcare, imaging, and information technology, partnering with Radiology, Clinical departments, and Information Services to ensure reliable access to patient imaging and related information.
RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS - Minimum three to five ( 3-5) years' experience in Information Technology or Medical Imaging.
- Minimum three to five ( 3-5) years' experience with PACS or related technology
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of the overall work flow of Medical Imaging Departments.
- Must possess the ability to train others in computer skills related to the relevant systems and have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's Degree, at minimum, in a medical or technology related field; plus a minimum of three to five (3-5) years' experience in imaging &/or PACS specific duties such as build, test, support, implementation, upgrade management, troubleshooting and documentation.
- Alternatively, equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS - CIIP (Certified Imaging Informatics Professional) or PARCA (PACS Administrators Registry and Certification Association) required.
- ARRT RT (Radiological Technologist) preferred.
Imaging PACS Administrator Key Responsibilities- Administer, maintain, and support PACS and imaging-related systems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot PACS and imaging workflow issues.
- Support integration between PACS, imaging modalities, the EHR, and other clinical systems.
- Manage user access, system configurations, workflows, and security.
- Collaborate with Radiology, Imaging, Clinical departments, and Information Services to resolve system issues.
- Coordinate and support system upgrades, implementations, testing, and enhancements.
- Maintain data integrity, system availability, and accurate patient imaging information.
- Provide technical support, training, and education to users while identifying opportunities to improve imaging workflows and efficiency.
