Responsibilities

Job Highlights:

  • 100% Breast Imagingposition.Hybrid position with another subspecialty will be considered upon request.

  • Noweekend,holiday,evening,or pager call requirement

  • Providea full range of comprehensive breast imaging services to Allegheny Health Network facilities, including diagnostic and screening mammography with tomosynthesis, breast ultrasonography, and breast MRI and their respective breast biopsies/procedures.  

  • AHN facilities are equipped withstate-of-the-artequipment, auser-friendly PACS system, and anexpansivein-house IT department available to help 24/7. 

  • Robustabbreviated MRI program.

  • Multidisciplinary tumor board is scheduledweeklyfostering strong collaboration with AHN Breast Surgeons and Oncologists.  

  • Most biopsiesat AHNare performed usingHydroMARKclips, and most localizations are performed using Magseeds.

  • Full time employees are usually given1-3remote screening MG/MRI shifts per month,depending on vacation requests.These shifts are taken in the comfort of your home.

  • Opportunities with AHNbreastimagingfellowship andradiologyresidencyprograms as well as rotating medical students.

  • Working at multiple breast centers throughout Pittsburgh breaks up the day-to-day monotony. However, regional scheduling bias makes daily commutes more than reasonable.

Compensation Overview 

  • Salary Range: $420,000-$1,100,000 

  • Competitive base salary with additional compensation for value-based care and academic productivity, onsite coverage, and clinical productivity 

  •  Reasonable wRVU requirements with opportunity for incentive over target 

  • RVU expectation (based on years of experience):9,754-11,401

  • Signing and starting bonus eligibility

Job Qualifications: 

  • Meet all requirements of the Mammography Quality Standards Act 

  • Completion of ACGME approved Radiology Residency   

  • Completion of ACGME approved Breast Imaging Fellowship  

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Radiology   

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)  

  • Participation in Maintenance of Certification or eligibility for such is required 

  • For on-site/hybrid positions: Opportunities to participate in the residency and medical student training programs 

  • Participation in multidisciplinary conferences

  • Licensed in the state of Pennsylvania prior to employment
