Position Overview

The Imagery Scientist - EO Expert provides advanced expertise in Electro-Optical (EO) imagery analysis, algorithm development, and remote sensing methodologies. This position supports operational exploitation, research initiatives, and development of innovative EO analytical capabilities across mission environments.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience as an Electro-Optical (EO) imagery subject matter expert.
  • Deep understanding of EO collection methodologies, phenomenology, image formation processes, and exploitation products.
  • Experience exploiting EO imagery to identify, characterize, and geolocate Objects of Interest (OOIs).
  • Experience developing, testing, and evaluating algorithms, processes, methodologies, and products using EO imagery with tools such as Python, MATLAB, and Google Earth Engine.
  • Ability to communicate EO capabilities, operational applications, and limitations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong understanding of remote sensing principles, imagery science, image processing, and advanced exploitation methodologies.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience applying computer vision (CV), artificial intelligence (AI), or machine learning (ML) techniques to EO imagery exploitation and analytics.
