IFPC Integrated Product Team (IPT) Manager

Boeing Defense Space & Security has an exciting opportunity for an IFPC Integrated Product Team (IPT) Manager to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, AL. This requisition is for the following position:

Magazine IPT Leader: responsible for the design and program management of the IFPC Magazine development to include preliminary design, hardware in the loop (HWIL) capability, flight testing, low-rate initial production (LRIP) and full-rate production (FRP), through sustaining activities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing business management activities in the area of Program Management.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Establishes Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) program goals and establishes a PMBP improvement plan.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Huntsville, AL site.

This position requires an active Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in a Leadership Role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management or formal management experience) OR completion of the internal Boeing course “Exploring Leadership"
  • 5+ years of experience in a role requiring project / program management skills to ensure cost, schedule and technical baseline requirements are met
  • Experience in a management role working with both direct reports and business unit leaders
  • 1+ years of experience with RIO (Risks, Issues and Opportunities) processes and tools
  • 1+ years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Experience with Army concepts of operations, lower tier missile defense systems and interceptor magazine design
  • Bachelor's or higher in Engineering
  • Experience working in a cross functional environment
  • Experience with developing and delivering presentations to Senior Leaders
  • Experience leading agile development teams
  • Experience writing proposals, Request for Information (RFIs) and/or Request for Proposal (RFPs)
