We are hiring for an IE Java Developer opportunity. Role: IE Java Developer Location: Lake Mary, FL 32746 Position: 1 Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced IE Java Developer with strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Hibernate, and integrated eligibility systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and supporting Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, or similar eligibility platforms, along with expertise in enterprise integrations, web services, databases, and eligibility workflows. Key Responsibilities: • Build, enhance, and maintain Java/J2EE-based applications for integrated eligibility platforms (Medicaid & MSP programs). • Implement and extend business process workflows for eligibility determination, enrollment, renewals, case communications, and notices. • Work within an enterprise technology environment encompassing EJB, IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), IBM ACE, and Spring Batch. • Support phased migration and coexistence of legacy and modernized components throughout system transition. • Develop and maintain application components using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Hibernate, and related frameworks. • Design and support REST and SOAP web services, XML/JSON processing, and database integrations. • Collaborate with business teams, architects, and development teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. • Troubleshoot application issues and provide production support when required. Required Skills: • 6-8 years of hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Hibernate, and related frameworks. • Strong experience in front-end development using JavaScript, CSS, JSPs, and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Bootstrap. • Proven experience building or supporting Integrated Eligibility Systems (Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, or comparable systems). • Experience with REST, SOAP, XML/JSON processing, and relational databases including Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. • Experience with interface and data exchange design using Java/J2EE and REST services, including data mappings, control points, and error handling. • Experience working with enterprise application servers, specifically IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS). • Strong understanding of APIs, debugging, version control, system design concepts, scalability, reliability, security, and integrations. • Hands-on experience with eligibility rules engines, including configuration, rule authoring, and integration with case management workflows. • Experience with Oracle Policy Automation (OPA), including decision services, rule models, and workflows for eligibility determination logic. • Experience with batch processing frameworks such as Spring Batch and secure data exchange protocols. • Strong understanding of eligibility and case management workflows, business rules, and state/federal Medicaid and MSP programs. • Ability to translate policy and program logic into technical requirements and implementation decisions. Preferred Skills: • Experience supporting healthcare modernization initiatives. • Experience with enterprise integration patterns and middleware technologies. • Experience supporting large-scale eligibility system implementations.
