Job Title: ICU Nurse (Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit)

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled ICU Nurse to provide critical care to patients with life-threatening illnesses or injuries. The ICU Nurse is responsible for monitoring patients, administering medications, operating advanced medical equipment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care in the Intensive Care Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
  • Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and assess their condition.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments as prescribed.
  • Operate and monitor critical care equipment such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and dialysis machines.
  • Respond quickly to medical emergencies and perform life-saving interventions when required.
  • Assist physicians during medical procedures and emergency situations.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and recovery expectations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Participate in patient handoffs and multidisciplinary rounds.
  • Mentor and support junior nursing staff when needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of ICU or Critical Care nursing experience (or as required by the organization).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (if applicable).
