ICM/BAW Developer Advisor

Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

The ICM/BAW Developer Advisor will be responsible for programming on specific application subsets of the company's application portfolio, participating in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle and utilizing various customer technology platforms.

How you will make an impact:
  • Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements and leads requirements gathering meetings.
  • Owns the change request process and may coordinate with other teams as necessary.
  • Develops and owns list of final enhancements.
  • Develops and defines application scope and objectives and prepares technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written.
  • Performs technical design reviews and code reviews.
  • Ensures unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed and system is implemented according to plan.
  • Assesses current status and supports data information planning.
  • Coordinates on-call support and ensures effective monitoring of system.
  • Maintains technical development environment.
  • Mentors others and may lead multiple or small to medium sized projects.
  • Facilitates group sessions to elicit complex information on requirements clarification, design sessions, code reviews and troubleshooting issues.
  • Supports vendor evaluation.


Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and minimum of 5 years experience with multi dimensional platform, business and technical applications; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • This position is part of our Wellpoint Federal division which, per CMS TDL 190275, requires foreign national applicants meet the residency requirement of living in the United States at least three of the past five years.


Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
  • ICM Case Manager development including all its components strongly preferred.
  • Hands on experience with designing, developing, and implementing the business processes and interface using workflow tools like IBM Case Manager, javascript, dojo, and java strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing custom functionality within FileNet, ICM, and IBM BAW including custom widgets performing custom functions within custom built interfaces residing within IBM Case Manager strongly preferred.
  • Development experience with python and the ability to integrate it with IBM Case Manager and FileNet strongly preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of IBM Case Manager abilities, limitations, customizations, and architecture.
  • Experience with Integrations using REST/SOAP/Java
  • Deep understanding of Java and J2EE technologies
  • Technical knowledge of database technologies and products such as Oracle, SQL preferred.
  • Exposure to scripting technologies and various java script frameworks preferred.
  • Experience with code build using Maven, ant etc. and source code management using Git, BitBucket etc.
  • Experience in an Agile Technology Development environment, preferably SAFe.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle & Software Testing Life Cycle.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices including Git, code reviews, and Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent written/oral communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.


For candidates working in person or virtually in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $140,116.00 to $210,174.
