The
IAM Systems Engineer will be responsible for integrating various systems, platforms, and applications into a streamlined process in support of QTS' Identity and Access Management Program. These workflows and associated orchestration will primarily be built within the ServiceNow platform. The purpose of this position is to drive security and automation around granting the correct access to the right people at the right time. This position will work as a part of a cross-functional team of IT engineers to provide enhanced visibility, operational automations, and stakeholder requested development. This is a fast-paced role where initiative and a desire to learn quickly and solve problems are vital to success.
RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.
- Develop orchestrations, automations, and workflows in support of QTS' Identity & Access Management Program
- Develop workflows that meet business, system, and security requirements
- Document and train end users and management on the process
- Develop automated workflows and service catalogs in ServiceNow
- Integrate disparate platforms and systems & ensure successful interoperability; API development and integration
- Partner with external vendors as needed to understand how to leverage their technology
- Lead effort to document workflows and best practices
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum five years of progressive IT engineering experience
- At least moderate level familiarity and experience with PowerShell and Python
- Familiarity with designing, building, and using API's
- Experience managing Windows and/or Linux servers
- Experience with both waterfall and agile development models
- General understanding of networking and firewalls
- Familiarity with ServiceNow ITSM modules and Flow Designer
- Experience managing objects in both on-premise Active Directory and Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Expertise around developing with ServiceNow (admin or development experience highly preferred)
- Experience working in a data-center environment or organization
- Experience working with secret/credential management (e.g. Cyberark)
