Job Description
The basic function of this role is to develop planned job packages for maintenance repair work and improvement projects based on priorities established by the OMC. The job plans must fully satisfy the notification scope and include all material, services, resources and appropriate scheduling logic between individual operations or tasks. This position must ensure that sufficient amount of work is planned to satisfy production needs.
• Providing necessary planning information that insures safe and efficient execution of all jobs
• Making sure the notification has proper detail with in the description
o If not add comments in the long text, reject the notification and notify the OMC immediately
• Participating in the management of notification and work order backlog by:
o Reviewing backlog and planning list for duplicates
o Grouping notifications together that can be planned and worked as a single order that optimizes utilization of resources
o Ensuring plans are in place that meets the timing requirements of the process units
o Understanding of job scope through notification text and field walk through with the OMC
Responsibilities
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Changing notification(s) to work orders which includes:
o Ensuring that order type and maintenance activity types are accurately assign on the order (PMOl, PM02, PM03, & PM08)
o Using or creating task list for repetitive jobs
o Using or creating BOM's where needed
o Review SAP to see if there is an existing PM that will soon generate (within a month) that can be manually called to cover the work scope and/or the needs of the job
o Identify all required SMP's to complete identified work scopes.
Building job plan that clearly shows:
o All required information, and required documentation such as MOC information, QAQC needs, piping sketches, ect.
o Verify all required crafts and duration
o Verify all required specialty tools, equipment
o Enter complete SAP scheduling logic into job plans
o Enter reservation or purchase requisition for necessary components
o Identify a safety photograph in all PM02 priority work orders identified as low, medium, high priority
• Communicating out to the OMC the Maintenance Specialist when materials cannot meet project start dates
• Determines if an MOC/ESR is required for the job, If required enters MOCR (MOC required) into the order status field and communicates back to the OMC
• Determines if drafting is required for job plans, if required enters WOEN (waiting on engineering) in the order status field and communicates back to the OMC, Drafting, Engineering, and Inspections departments
• Enters order status of (RTSH - WONM) if job packages are waiting on materials
• Enters order status of (TPSV) if job packages require Third-Party services
• Determines if JSA's, exceptions, or waivers are required, if required enters PIP-HOLD into the order status field and communicate the request to the unit OMC
• Verifies to see if an equipment-based task list exist prior to building the job packages on repetitive work scopes
o Create task list when one is not available
• Reference equipment history to compare previous job plans and update the task list as needed
• Create equipment-based BOM's as necessary
• Request Approval for all job packages that exceed $50,000
• Review daily (PM0l) PM work order last if no materials or services are required, change status to RTSH (ready to schedule), or RTSH-WONM if job packages are waiting on materials
• Enters all service requisitions required for third-party services and rental equipment
• Forwards all completed job packages to technical support for final review upon completion
(Inspections)
• Reviews and completes planner feedback documentation and makes changes as necessary to equipment-based task list
• Reviews/enters third-party change orders in SAP (adders) upon review and approval from the area Maintenance Specialist for additional services
• Participation in the identification and implementation of reliability driven improvements
• Participates in the weekly scheduling meeting (WED)
The following will be measured and this position held accountable
• Percent order types
• Calling any PM's within a month and linking the notification (if ops has entered one) to the PM so they can both be worked together
• Order documentation (order types, order statuses)
• Percent jobs planned using saved job plans
• Planned vs. actual cost
• Continue to improve plan updates from planner feedback forms
