The RoleJoin Stellix Global Services as an I&C Engineer, blending control panel/system design with field engineering. You'll support instrumentation, electrical systems, and control panel layouts across DCS & PLC platforms. Collaborate with customers to deliver innovative solutions in dynamic industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design and specify instrumentation, control panels, and materials based on customer needs.
- Perform control system startups, loop checks, commissioning, and generate documentation/punch lists.
- Troubleshoot analog/discrete signals and protocols (HART, Fieldbus, Profibus, DeviceNet, AS-I, Ethernet I/P, ProfiNET, Modbus).
- Manage electrical installation vendors, review submittals, and execute pre-FAT/FAT for green or brownfield system installations.
- Perform PLC & DCS system physical layer troubleshooting.
- Support Front End Engineering and Design studies
- Support sales proposals (estimates, walkdowns, scoping, BOM generation).
- Ensure uncompromising quality and safety; authority to halt work if compromised.
- Travel: 30-75% within New England; lift up to 50 lbs.
What You'll Bring- Bachelor's in electrical engineering or equivalent on-the-job experience.
- 3+ years in related engineering field.
- Knowledge of:
- Electrical engineering principles
- Process control theory
- Electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- UL 508A design: enclosures, SCCR, components, grounding, labeling, wiring, compliance.
- Standards (NEC, UL 508A, IEC, ISA).
- Sensor types (thermocouples, RTDs, pressure/flow sensors)
- Ability to perform I/O loop checks, verifying continuity, 4-20 mA signal integrity, calibration, and end-to-end functionality per control principles.
- Proficient in CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical/EPLAN).
Preferred Qualifications- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Emerson/DeltaV).
- Experience in cGMP/validated environments, hazardous areas, and intrinsic safety design.
- Circuit design and simulation knowledge
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork abilities.

A starting annual salary between $87,000 - $102,000 based on level of previous experience. In addition, hired applicants will be eligible for a variable incentive plan.
