GFT Infrastructure is seeking a
Hydrology and Hydraulics Engineer (H&H Engineer) to join our
Hydraulics Team in
Fort Worth, Beaumont, Dallas, Austin, or Houston, TX! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our
Fort Worth, Beaumont, or Houston,TX office.

Hydraulics Engineer (H&H Engineer) who thrives in a collaborative team environment. The Hydraulic Project Engineer will perform engineering calculations, technical studies and prepares plans and specifications for a wide variety of projects, including impact analysis, roadway drainage and master drainage plans. Provides general oversight, control, and management of H&H analysis and design tasks for a project. Perform client and project management duties. Prepares technical reports and letters.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:- Lead the development of drainage impact studies, master plans and engineering reports (including CLOMRS & LOMRS)
- Lead the development of project design concepts, criteria, construction plans and reviews project documents for conformity and quality assurance
- Work with client and other disciplines to prepare appropriate designs, as dictated by the scope of work
- Analyze complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures
- Consults with construction personnel concerning design constructability
- Provide input for proposals and pursuit of new projects
- Supervision of junior level staff
- Makes recommendations on project staffing
- Communicates independently with clients
What you will bring to our firm: - Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- 4 to 10 Years of relevant experience involving H&H Projects
- Experience with Project proposals and Presentations
What we prefer you bring: - Expertise with ArcGIS, HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, XP SWMM (1D/2D), AutoCAD/MicroStation (preferred)
Compensation:The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $135,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
