Full Job Description
EnVision Consultants Ltd. is looking for a bright, motivated, team-oriented person to join our organization as a Hydrogeologist. Ideal candidates will be motivated to work with a growing, fast-paced team, excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage internal and external relationships.

As part of your role, you may expect to be involved in:
  • Manage projects and undertake technical work in accordance with contract scope of work and budget, and to company, professional, quality, and legislative standards.
  • Develop and lead field investigation programs, directing the collection and analysis of field data which may include groundwater and surface water sampling water level monitoring, hydraulic (aquifer) testing, and infiltration testing.
  • Analyze and interpret data including water chemistry, aquifer testing results, geological mapping, lithological descriptions, groundwater flow systems, and other hydrogeological information;
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, landowners, and other third parties;
  • Develop site specific and feature based water balance assessments for land development projects;
  • Prepare technical work plans, work schedules, and financial proposals.
  • Support Permit to Take Water/Environmental Activity and Sector
  • Registry applications, Water Balance studies, Water Supply studies, and Water Resource Impact studies, amongst other projects;
  • Provide excellent client management to existing and potential clients; including working with EnVision team members to develop new business through marketing initiatives.
  • In addition, any other functions assigned as part of your employment.

To apply to this position, you should expect to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in specializing in Environmental, Water Resource, or Geosciences, or a related field of study, from an accredited university;
  • Registered or on track for a professional license with Professional Geoscientists of Ontario, or as a Professional Engineer;
  • 4+ years of experience as a consultant within the industry with prior hydrogeological experience managing land development, infrastructure, transportation and or other hydrogeological projects;
  • Familiarity with Ontario Regulations, including Ontario Water Resources Act, Water Taking and Transfer, Municipal Sewer Use By-laws, Ontario Planning Act, Source Water Protection Policy Framework, and other legislation relevant to hydrogeological work;
  • Experience in working on projects in a multi-disciplinary environment;
  • Very strong data visualization and presentation skills, and excellent technical writing ability;
  • Sound understanding of design engineering codes and technical standards;
  • A valid G license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from office/site (mileage to sites compensated).
