Full Job Description

We have an opportunity for a motivated individual to fill the role of HVAC Quality Assurance Project Manager. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing various projects within a technical operational environment.

Why this Role is Important:

The role of Project Manager plays a pivotal role ensuring a successful execution of projects, maintains relationships with third-party vendors, and meets client needs while delivering results.

Responsibilities:
  • Independently manages multiple Test and Balance projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Oversee TAB and Commissioning field crews to ensure adherence to procedures and accuracy in testing
  • Request and review mechanical drawings, HVAC submittals, and specifications to assist teams with areas of focus
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Participates in contractor meetings for project planning and scheduling
  • Manage change to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Review test air balancing and commissioning reports with our engineering team and contractors to develop a scope of work addressing site issues or deficiencies
  • Communicate directly with customers, project engagement managers and executive teams to provide updates of findings and recommendations
  • Manages project associated with approved recommended solutions
  • Handles customer escalations and ensures timely resolution.
  • Offers remote support to vendors/contractors during TAB and Commissioning
  • Reviews surveys to ensure accuracy and quality of work align with Budderfly standards
  • Holds contractors accountable for any communication, coordination, or installation issues, including completion of punch list items
  • Performs the job close out process, ensuring all documentation is filed appropriately and post surveys have been uploaded and approved by all necessary parties
  • Responsible for managing the financial execution of assigned projects to budget
  • Review contractor invoices to ensure accuracy and all necessary supporting information has been provided.
  • Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC installations
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems including air balancing, duct design, VAV systems, hydronic, and controls.
  • Certification through NEBB, AABC, or TABB preferred
  • Bachelor 's Degree in Business, Economics, or other related field of study.
  • Project Management Certification and/or Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects concurrently with complex inter-dependencies.
  • Experience in Energy space helpful but not required.
  • Excellent problem solving and customer service skills.
  • Extensive organizational and time-management skills to be able to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
  • Flexible hours are required as field crews' schedules will vary and include some weekend and late-night work.

Compensation

$85,000-$100,000 USD

Compensation is based on factors including level of experience, skillset, qualifications, and location.
