Job Description

The HVAC Project Manager leads commercial HVAC repair and special projects ranging from small service work to projects up to $4 million. This role is responsible for project planning, execution, safety, scheduling, financial performance, customer satisfaction, subcontractor coordination, and successful project closeout while delivering exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities (List is not inclusive)
• Manage projects from turnover through closeout, including schedule, budget, quality, safety, and profitability.
• Develop project plans, manpower forecasts, procurement strategies, and financial forecasts.
• Coordinate field teams, subcontractors, vendors, customers, and internal departments.
• Monitor labor productivity, costs, billing, cash flow, and project forecasts.
• Manage purchasing, equipment releases, subcontractors, and change orders.
• Ensure OSHA compliance, jobsite safety, and company quality standards.
• Maintain customer relationships through proactive communication and issue resolution.
• Oversee project documentation, contract compliance, reporting, billing, collections support, and final closeout.
• Identify additional service and project opportunities with existing customers.

Required Knowledge, skills, and abilities
• 5+ years of HVAC service, construction, project management, estimating, or field supervision experience.
• Commercial HVAC systems knowledge including chilled water, DX, boilers, pumps, air handlers, controls, piping, and ductwork.
• Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, schedules, procurement, and subcontractors.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management/ERP software.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass required background screening.
• PMP, OSHA 30, or trade-related certifications. (Preferred)
• Experience managing projects up to $4 million. (Preferred)
• Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Vista, Spectrum, or Service Trade. (Preferred)

Education and Experience
• High School Diploma Required. Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum five years of related experience required.

Physical requirements
• Required to stand, walk and sit.
• Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone
• Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
• Reach with hand (s) and arm (s).
• Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Regular travel to jobsites and customer facilities. Ability to work in office and construction environments, climb ladders, inspect equipment.
