HVAC Project Engineer: Will act as engineering technical support for the Design and Construction Sales Team by applying HVAC equipment and control systems knowledge. Prepare technical/engineering selections based on consulting engineer's design requirement and equipment submittals for Sales Engineers based on HVAC Equipment and controls estimates.

What you will do:- Prepare HVAC Equipment and Controls Pricing Estimates
- Prepare technical support for the Design and Construction Engineering Sales Engineer
- Create equipment selections and manage Sales Engineer and consulting engineer's demand.
- Prepare engineering submittals including specification review, engineering drawings, and technical details for client approvals and perform process and design calculations.
- Organize and manage the submittal schedule and project deliverables to coordinate with project schedule.
- Review blueprints for coordination with trades and compliance with contract documents; expedite and approve submittals and shop drawings.
- Conduct complete and accurate quantity take-offs.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment selections and pricing
- Generate and distribute RFI's accordingly, including pricing into a change order if applicable.
- Maintain and manage CRM (Salesforce) database and project management software (Procore)
- Maintain a high skill level for all Trane and Vendor products as well as selection software programs used for preparing technical documents, including estimates and proposals
- Familiarity with Trane, non-Trane, and competitor equipment and Trane Controls is highly desirable
- Prepare comment/response forms, other forms as applicable, and equipment/controls changes as needed
- Provide pre and post-sale support to Sales Teams
- Provide Turn-Overs for the Fulfillment Team
- Other duties as assigned
What we're looking for:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, construction industry, familiar with blue prints and mechanical plans is preferred
- Minimum 1-4 years (combination of equipment selections and estimation knowledge) is preferred
- HVAC manufacturers' knowledge and Mechanical Equipment and/or Controls products knowledge is preferred
- Proficient in MS Office and Outlook, and a CRM, strong math skills
- Experience with Bluebeam software is preferred
- Strong communication and writing skills, self-starter, independent, quick learner, deadline-oriented
- Problem solver with attention to detail, team player, dependable, able to work with minimal supervision
