Join a growing multidisciplinary engineering team as a full-time permanent Senior HVAC Design Engineer, leading the design and delivery of complex building mechanical systems across commercial, industrial, healthcare, and institutional projects. Responsibilities:
  • Design building mechanical systems including HVAC, hydronic, plumbing, and utility systems
  • Lead and manage a team of engineering and technical professionals
  • Manage project delivery, budgets, schedules, and client expectations
  • Develop technical reports, engineering documentation, and value engineering analyses
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout project execution
  • Review shop drawings, RFIs, and field observations to support construction activities
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and recommendations for facility mechanical systems
  • Ensure designs and construction activities comply with applicable codes, standards, and specifications

Requirements:
  • Hold a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Possess 7+ years of HVAC and building mechanical design experience
  • Demonstrate experience leading teams and mentoring engineering staff
  • Show strong project management experience on multidiscipline projects
  • Maintain a P.Eng, CET designation, or be working towards professional registration
  • Demonstrate expertise with AutoCAD, Revit, and Autodesk design tools
  • Understand Canadian and industry codes including OBC, NBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, CSA, and related standards
  • Communicate effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment
