TheHVAC Department Manageroversees daytoday operations, ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to quality standards. This position serves as the primary leader for overseeing staff, coordinating labor, materials, subcontractors, and customer communication.
What Youll Do
- Team Leadership:Lead, manage, and support a team of HVAC Technicians. Set performance standards, enforce safety protocols, and foster a culture of accountability and professionalism.Conduct regular coaching, ride-alongs, and performance reviews to ensure team success.
- Operational Oversight:Coordinate daily workflow for HVAC service, maintenance, and installation teams,and ensure compliance with all codes and safety regulations. Work closely with dispatch and office staff to maximize team efficiency.
- Revenue Growth:Identify opportunities for increased sales and profitability within HVAC operations. Monitor KPIs, manage team productivity, and ensure targets are met or exceeded, while driving department performance.
- Technical Excellence:Provide hands-on support in the field when needed. Serve as a technical resource for the team and ensure all work meets our quality standards.
- Customer Satisfaction:Ensure customers receive high-quality, timely, and respectful service. Proactively address concerns and lead the team in delivering a top-tier customer experience.
- Team Development:Recruit, train, and mentor plumbing staff. Build a positive team culture focused on growth, skill development, and retention.
What You Will Bring
- Proven leadership experience in residential HVAC service and installation operations.
- Strong technical knowledge of heating, cooling, ventilation, and indoor air quality systems.
- Ability to coach and support field teams while driving operational results.
- Familiarity with local HVAC codes, permits, and industry regulations.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on efficiency, profitability, and quality workmanship.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- EPA Certification required.
- RI HVAC license preferred.
