What you will do

As the HVAC Install Manager, you will oversee field execution, route planning, team performance, and staffing support for mechanical installation work. You will balance operational priorities with customer satisfaction and financial goals, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and in line with contractual commitments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the field Mechanical Install team.
  • Plan monthly technician routes and support effective workforce deployment.
  • Analyze team performance and recommend changes that improve profitability, safety, and client satisfaction.
  • Supervise and provide leadership for assigned teams, including development planning and performance follow-up.
  • Coordinate team work with sales to support opportunities and optimize customer outcomes.
  • Raise potential market opportunities to the appropriate branch or region resource for strategic direction.
  • Ensure serviced account portfolios achieve growth, proper profit levels, and customer satisfaction.
  • Support staffing requirements, including recruiting, hiring, and retaining operational staff.
  • Implement and monitor HVAC operational standards and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure contractual obligations are completed and customer expectations are met.
  • Drive service and installation operational review meetings, including accurate bid and estimate reviews.
  • Analyze operational processes and recommend improvements that strengthen performance and execution.
How You Will Do It
  • Own the day-to-day execution with accountability, safety, and integrity, setting clear expectations and following through on commitments.
  • Stay close to the work by planning routes, removing obstacles, and keeping field priorities aligned with customer needs.
  • Use candor and continuous improvement to review performance, analyze trends, and recommend practical changes that improve results.
  • Work as one team with sales, branch, and field partners, building trust and drawing on diverse perspectives to support the customer.
  • Lead through coaching and development by preparing performance expectations, reviews, and development plans that help others succeed.


What we look for
  • Five years of progressive operational experience in HVAC services.
  • Three years of management experience with responsibility for the productivity and development of others.
  • Experience coordinating field operations, scheduling, and customer-facing service or installation work.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze operations, bids, estimates, and team performance to support sound decisions.
Nice to Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business, or equivalent working experience.
  • Johnson Mechanical Install experience.
  • Eight years of experience in an operational HVAC role with leadership responsibilities.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Johnson Controls Metasys experience.


HIRING SALARY RANGE: $ $89,000 - $134,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
