Full Job Description

Position Summary

This position serves as the Public Health Officer for the County and is responsible to assist with the overall administrative oversight, visioning, leadership, planning, coordinating, and management of the Human Services & Health Department. This position provides professional work planning, organizing, evaluating, supervision, and implementation to County service-related programs in accordance with State and Federal laws and regulations, and to implement general policies set forth by governing bodies and agencies; also serving as a professional advisor to various boards and committees.

Salary Information

Starting Wage Range: $43.39/hr. - $47.82/hr.

Job Details

Full Time, Exempt Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Location: On-site in Juneau, WI Must successfully pass caregiver and criminal background check.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Nursing, Physical or Biological Services or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a public health agency; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that meets the statutory requirements for a Level II local health officer in the State of Wisconsin.
Three years' previous supervisory experience.
Master's degree preferred.
Nursing degree preferred.
