Payroll/HR Mgr.

Transdev in Salinas, CA, is hiring a Payroll/Human Resource Manager. This position assists the General Manager in all aspects of the daily payroll and HR functions. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. This position is 100% on-site!

Transdev is proud to offer:
  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $80,000 - Maximum $100,000

Benefits include:
  • Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
  • Sick days: 5 days
  • Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process new employee files and submit paperwork for approval.
  • Calculate and input payroll for drivers and staff.
  • Track attendance for part-time employees.
  • Handle fare reconciliation and deposits.
  • Assist in tracking and reducing overtime.
  • Full-cycle recruiting: review applications, schedule interviews, and hire candidates.
  • Create and maintain employee files and onboarding paperwork.
  • Manage payroll, leaves of absence, and FMLA tracking.
  • Educate employees on benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with background checks, drug screens, and E-Verify.
  • Support transfer requests and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications :
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience.
  • College coursework in a related field preferred.
  • Computer-literate with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical, if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • The work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
