Job Description

We're seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team at our Livingston, California manufacturing facility.

This is a highly visible, onsite leadership role where you'll partner with business leaders, champion employee engagement, navigate complex employee relations, and help shape the future of our workforce. Your presence, expertise, and leadership will have a direct impact on our people, culture, and business success.

What you'll do:
  • Partner with business leaders to provide strategic HR guidance while ensuring compliance with company policies, employment laws, and HR best practices.
  • Lead employee relations matters, including investigations, workplace concerns, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution, while promoting consistency, fairness, and accountability.
  • Manage the company's response to workers' compensation, legal claims, workplace incidents, and regulatory matters by partnering with legal counsel, insurance carriers, and claims administrators.
  • Develop and deliver impactful training programs, provide coaching to leaders, support performance management, oversee employee benefits administration, and drive key HR initiatives.
  • Guide employee separation processes, including layoffs, terminations, exit interviews, and outplacement support while ensuring compliance and a positive employee experience whenever possible.
  • Lead and conduct complex employee relations investigations, including interviewing involved parties, gathering and evaluating information, documenting findings, and partnering with leaders and legal counsel to determine appropriate resolutions.

What you'll bring:
  • Human Resources leadership experience supporting a manufacturing, production, or operations environment.
  • The ability to build trusted partnerships with leaders, confidently navigate sensitive and complex employee matters, and influence positive business outcomes.
  • Strong project management, facilitation, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple initiatives, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities and business needs.
  • Proven experience leading and conducting employee relations investigations, including complex and sensitive workplace matters, with strong judgment, discretion, documentation, and follow-through
  • Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, HR compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution, adapt to changing demands, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.

The salary range for this position is $110,000-$150,000 USD. Actual compensation will be based on factors including experience, education, specialized training, and market conditions. In addition to competitive pay, Sensient offers a comprehensive benefits program designed to support the overall well-being of our employees and their families.

Our ingredients are found in many of today's most popular food products. This business operates facilities in Livingston and Turlock, California, and Deming, New Mexico.
