The HR Manager leads and directs the daily operations of the Human Resources function while serving as a strategic partner to site leadership. This role drives the development of a high-performance, high-engagement workforce by coaching managers, supporting talent development, and strengthening team effectiveness. The HR Manager provides guidance on employee relations and policy interpretation, leads proactive change management efforts, and ensures fair and consistent application of company policies and HR practices. This position plays a key role in shaping a positive workplace culture, enhancing employee experience, and continuously improving HR processes to support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as a strategic partner to site leadership by aligning HR initiatives with business objectives and providing data-driven insights on workforce trends, organizational needs, and talent strategies.
- Execute and influence initiatives that drive key HR metrics, including turnover, time-to-fill, talent development progress, and employee engagement outcomes.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, coaching, and addressing employee questions or concerns, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and reinforcement of a positive workplace culture.
- Proactively lead change management efforts by partnering with leaders to anticipate workforce impacts, develop communication strategies, and support employees through organizational transitions.
- Maintain regulatory compliance with ADA, FMLA, EEOC, and other employment laws; stay current on legislative developments and advise leadership on necessary policy or process changes to mitigate risk.
- Partner with managers and employees to administer HR policies and procedures, recommending improvements and supporting continuous enhancement of HR programs, practices, and communication.
- Lead the onboarding experience by developing effective plans with hiring managers and conducting new hire orientation that supports long-term retention and strong assimilation into the organization.
- Provide employees with support on benefits enrollment, plan provisions, wellness programs, status changes, and general benefits education.
- Partner with managers to identify training needs and coordinate development programs that build workforce capability and support succession planning.
- Support wage and salary administration by evaluating compensation practices, participating in market surveys, and recommending adjustments to ensure competitive and equitable pay strategies.
- Utilize Regal Business System tools to streamline HR processes, enhance quality, improve compliance, and reduce administrative costs through continuous improvement.
- Plan and manage employee engagement activities, communications, and events that strengthen culture, connection, and retention.
- Coordinate community involvement initiatives and encourage employee participation to support company reputation and local engagement.
- Maintain HR compliance, documentation accuracy, and adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support HR operations and evolving business needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Minimum of 7 years of broad, hands-on HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related discipline.
- Experience in a unionized environment is a plus.
- Able to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans.
- Be an excellent communicator at various levels within an organization.
- Ability to build relationships quickly, to act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees.
- Be results-oriented with proven ability to follow through while handling multiple and competing priorities.
- Effective team leadership and coaching abilities that support employee development and performance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience supporting production, professional, and leadership-level employees.
- Solid working knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Expected Base Salary Range: $100,000 to $135,000. The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.
