Full-time opportunity in Tacoma, WA (supporting hospitals across Tacoma and the Seattle Metropolitan area)
Schedule: In-person at the Tacoma, WA hospital, with monthly onsite travel to AMCS and CBEAM sites. Flexibility in scheduling to support 24/7 operations as needed.

Ethos is seeking a dedicated Field Human Resources Manager to provide invaluable support to three of our vibrant veterinary hospitals across Tacoma, WA and the Seattle Metropolitan area: Summit Veterinary Referral Center (Tacoma), Animal Medical Center of Seattle (Shoreline), and Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine (Bothell).
In your day-to-day, you will:- Serve as a key liaison between staff and management, providing guidance on company policies, practices, and regulations, and offering expert advice on employee relations issues, including coaching, feedback, and progressive discipline
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including USCIS Form I-9 verification, ADA accommodations, and FMLA/FAMLI leave administration
- Serve as the local point of contact for employees and leaders regarding leave-related questions, and partner with the Center of Excellence (COE) to support timely communication and documentation
- Oversee the onboarding process, conduct new employee orientation, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities
- Collaborate closely with the Hospital Director and management team to develop and administer HR programs, procedures, and guidelines aligned with hospital and company goals
- Partner with Hospital Leadership to develop and implement employee engagement activities and culture initiatives, including staff appreciation events
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture
What You Bring- A minimum of five years of progressive experience in Human Resources positions; experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, and veterinary experience is desirable
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development, or a related field is preferred; PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred
- Significant experience in employee relations, ADA, and FMLA, along with solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present to groups effectively; ability to travel as needed within the Tacoma/Seattle Metropolitan area
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care, with strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence that foster trust across all levels of the organization
