Sphere Investigations seeks an HR Manager to oversee employee relations, benefits, compliance, workforce support, HR operations, and process improvement across a 350+ employee multi-state workforce.

Working closely with leaders and team members across the business, you will play a key role in building efficient, employee-centered solutions while helping create the foundation for the next phase of organizational growth.

General Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR resource for employee relations matters, investigations, workplace concerns, and performance management issues.
  • Manage escalated employee complaints and workplace concerns beyond the Generalist level.
  • Provide guidance to managers regarding coaching, corrective action, performance improvement plans, and terminations.
  • Conduct and document employee investigations while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Support retention, engagement, and organizational culture initiatives.
  • Administer and manage employee performance processes through ADP Workforce Now and ADP Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Develop and implement SOPs, workflows, and process improvements that support organizational efficiency.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to ensure workforce compliance requirements are maintained across all applicable jurisdictions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations in all operating states.
  • Oversee employee benefit enrollment, qualifying life event changes, open enrollment, and benefit audits.


  • Monitor benefit communications and employee education efforts to improve enrollment participation and understanding.


  • Monitor HR inbox activity and triage employee requests appropriately.
  • Guide and mentor HR Generalists and Coordinators in day-to-day HR operations.
  • Ensure HR records, employee files, and system documentation are maintained accurately.
  • Lead process mapping initiatives and document workflows using tools such as Scribe and related process documentation platforms.


  • Assist with employee handbook development, policy updates, and state-specific employment requirements.
  • Provide coaching, support, and professional development to HR team members.


  • Participate in strategic HR initiatives that support organizational growth and operational excellence.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of employee relations and performance management experience.
  • Experience supporting acquisition integration, organizational growth, or process transformation initiatives preferred.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.


  • Experience administering HRIS, LMS, and employee performance systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite'
  • Strong employee relations and conflict resolution skills.


  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
