DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:- Serve as the primary HR partner for assigned business units, providing day-to-day HR support.
- Serve as a visible HR presence that employees feel comfortable approaching.
- Manage employee relations matters from intake through resolution, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
- Maintain confidential documentation and case management records.
- Serve as the primary HR liaison for all temporary staffing agencies and contingent workforce partners.
- Oversee agency performance, including service levels, employee quality, responsiveness, compliance, and contract adherence.
- Coach managers and supervisors on performance management, employee development, difficult conversations, corrective action, conflict resolution, employee engagement, and leadership effectiveness.
- Build manager capability by teaching leaders how to effectively manage their teams.
- Guide leaders through performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, promotions, and terminations.
- Build trusted relationships with leaders across all levels of the organization.
- Help foster a respectful, inclusive, and positive work environment.
- Support initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, recognition, communication, and morale.
- Promote company values through coaching, leadership support, and employee interactions.
- Interpret and communicate HR policies, procedures, and employment practices.
- Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of employee inquiries.
- Support organizational changes, workforce planning, restructures, and change management initiatives.
- Leverage HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Utilize data and reporting to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate HR records, documentation, and reporting.

RequirementsEducation and/or Experience Required - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Minimum 3 years managing complex employee relations matters.
- Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations.
- Experience coaching managers and leaders.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred - SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Experience supporting multi-site operations.
- Manufacturing, agriculture, food production, distribution, or operations experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Technical Skills - Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- HRIS systems (UKG, ADP, Workday, Paycom, or similar).
- Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Data analysis and reporting.
- Strong technology aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems.
