Role Overview:

The HR Generalist, based in Los Angeles, plays a key role in fostering a compliant, inclusive, and people-centric environment across the U.S. region while directly supporting the Jacques Marie Mage (JMM) headquarters. This role is responsible for leading core human resources functions-including employee relations, compliance, payroll and benefits administration, HR operations, and cultural engagement initiatives-aligned with business goals and the company's values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and process U.S. payroll in coordination with finance to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including open enrollment, plan changes, and addressing employee questions.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, offering guidance and conflict resolution in line with company policy.
  • Interpret and enforce HR policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Manage leave of absence cases (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, etc.) and other time-off requests.
  • Support employee development and engagement initiatives in collaboration with leadership
  • Maintain accurate HR records, reporting, and documentation in accordance with compliance standards.
  • Contribute to broader HR projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience in a generalist or HR management role.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws and HR compliance practices.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple HR functions independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on employee experience and organizational culture.
