About the Job:

Operating in a Northern British Columbia mining environment, the HR Manager is responsible for leading all site-based human resources activities while supporting the people strategy required to successfully transition Silvertip from care and maintenance through project development and into future operations.

This role serves as the primary HR partner for site leadership, providing strategic and operational support across employee relations, workforce planning, recruitment, leadership coaching, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and HR compliance. As the project advances, the incumbent will play a key role in operational readiness by developing the people programs, processes, and organizational capability necessary to build and sustain a high-performing workforce.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary HR business partner to the site leadership team.
  • Partner with leaders to align people strategies with business objectives and operational readiness milestones.
  • Coach leaders on employee relations, performance management, talent development, organizational design and change management.
  • Identify organizational risks and recommend proactive people solutions.
  • Support the HR strategy for the transition from care and maintenance to construction and future operations.
  • Partner with Operational Readiness leaders on workforce planning, organizational design and future staffing models.
  • Develop scalable HR processes and programs that support future operational growth.
  • Support mobilization planning, onboarding strategy, workforce logistics and leadership capability as the project progresses.
  • Participate on cross-functional Operational Readiness teams to ensure people considerations are integrated into project planning.
  • Support implementation of HR systems, policies and processes required for future operations
  • Lead employee and labour relations activities while fostering a respectful, inclusive and high-performing culture.
  • Conduct and support workplace investigations.
  • Provide coaching on performance management, discipline and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure consistent application of employment legislation, company policies and HR best practices.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive workforce plans and hiring strategies that align with project milestones, operational readiness objectives, and future workforce requirements.
  • Design and lead onboarding and integration of new employees.
  • Develop succession and talent development plans for critical positions.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives.
  • Support leadership development and coaching.
  • Champion Coeur values and desired workplace culture.
  • Support change management initiatives associated with project growth.
  • Ensure compliance with BC employment legislation, occupational health and safety requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain HR metrics and reporting.
  • Support audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Submission and compliance with the annual budget for the HR Department.


Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business or related discipline.
  • CPHR designation preferred.
  • 8-12+ years progressive HR leadership experience.
  • Previous experience supporting mining, construction, heavy industrial or resource operations.
  • Experience supporting operational readiness, project development, major organizational growth or large-scale workforce mobilization is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience coaching senior operational leaders.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
  • Strong understanding of British Columbia employment legislation.
  • Valid driver's license.


Additional Information:
  • Willing to work a two-week rotation schedule, with 12-hour shifts per day at a remote camp.
  • Our current designated marshalling locations are Vancouver, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Calgary, Edmonton, Whitehorse, Teslin, and Watson Lake.
