Full Job Description
THE ROLE
As a Human Resources Manager, you are responsible for providing human resources functions at your location, including recruitment, payroll, pension and benefits, talent management, job evaluation, recognition and learning and development. You will investigate and analyze grievances and complaints and work with the business, employees and unions (if applicable) to identify sources of conflict and complaints and resolve them to ensure smooth business operations. You will also ensure compliance with the Health and Safety program.

The Human Resources Manager will be asked to provide their operational perspective and expertise on new programs and policies that will impact employees and the business and to recommend improvements to existing programs, policies and processes.

This is a hands-on role, working as a team with local management. If you are passionate about all aspects of human resources and understand the value of people, and are detailed oriented and organized this is the opportunity for you.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses

College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field AND several years of experience in human resources, or a related field

AND

Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), an asset

Experience

In planning, organizing, and delivering Human Resources programs and services

In providing Human Resources related advice

In applying and interpreting human resources policies, procedures and legislation

In personnel administration

In planning and conducting presentations

Competencies

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Bilingual (English and French) Essential

Reading: Advanced

Writing: Functional

Oral: Advanced
