Job Description:

Integrated Components Division, part of Resource Industries segment, designs and manufactures quality wear and maintenance components which exceed Caterpillar customer's expectations, such as: Fluids & Filters, Hose & Couplings, and Seals, Tubes & Hardware.

As the Human Resources Manager for our manufacturing facility in Menominee, MI facility you will have an exciting opportunity to make a difference for Caterpillar people - employees, leaders and the communities within which we live and work - by partnering with facility operations leadership to deliver strategic goals supporting our people.

What You Will Do:
  • Building strong trust relationships with HR teams, facility leaders and their leadership teams.
  • Understanding the businesses supported including customers, suppliers, opportunities, challenges, and short-and long-term goals.
  • Clear understanding of the unique workforces, including pulling on key metrics and inputs to develop a strategic and actionable people vision.
  • Strong global team member contributing to the success of the full maintenance components organization.
  • Actively participate as an integral business partner on the leadership teams, ensuring the focus on safety and people as integral to the strategy.
  • Play key role in the facility employee feedback survey results through integrating cultural impacts in the day-to-day business activities.
  • Responsible for end-to-end people strategy and implementation.
  • Provide direction and guidance to all levels of leaders and employees on HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency.
  • Lead efforts to achieve a positive Caterpillar Experience for all employees
  • Provide solutions to attract, develop and retain talent
  • Lead local administration of employment practices, compliance, training
  • Lead onsite HR team
  • Partner with expanded Maintenance Components global HR team


What You Have:
  • Education: Degree or equivalent experience
  • Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
  • Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.
  • Employee Relations: Knowledge of the rights and obligations in the employee relations; ability to adhere to legal requirements when handling employee negotiations.
  • Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Human Resources Operations: Knowledge of human resources (HR) policies, operational processes and considerations; ability to implement HR related tasks, processes, and projects to ensure that day-to-day operations run smoothly.
  • Talent Management: Knowledge of how an organization attracts, recruits, retains, identifies and develops talent; ability to develop the talent required for an organization to achieve its short-term and long-term goals.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Change Impact Assessment: Knowledge of tools, techniques, procedures, and advantages of change impact assessment; ability to use this knowledge to understand the impact of a proposed change on stakeholders, processes, structures, and tools of an organization.
  • Work Schedule Flexibility: Ability to flex work schedule both early and late as necessary to support multiple shift operation.

  • Previous HR leadership experience within an operations facility or warehouse.

  • Location: Menominee, MI
  • This role requires 5 days a week in office
  • Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
